Anyone else getting a timeout error?  In the past I would always get the timeout, but after refreshing the page I would get the list.  Now multiple refreshes still won't load the page.  Is there anything I can do client side to increase my timeout?

Thanks

Brad

The reason given on the old board for not including B & C athletes was that the database got too big and timed out.  There was some discussion about making the amateur listings into a static page that would be updated once a week instead of 'on demand' as it is now. Since the database is now timing out with the A/open athletes, it is probably time to reopen that discussion. Here are a couple of possible solutions:

1) Separate listings for A/B/C/Novice/Open catagories, and if people wanted to compare, they could print each one out and compare scores. Since the points for ranking are all calculated based on the American record, comparisons would be simple. This would be the easiest for our administrator to implement, I would think.

2) One sheet for all athletes updated by the administrator every so often (week, day, month, whatever).  This sounds good to me, but, I'm not the one doing the work.

3) Perhaps both of the above, with updates on #2 less frequent?

4) Do nothing, as the 2005 database will start again with no data, and very fast response times. Then the overall 2004 rankings could be put into a static display format.

Whatever the choice, thanks again to the Paulis for this cool website.
