I have been fighting a very tight lower back. I lifted heavy all winter and had no problem but
as soon as I start throwing bam it hits me.
I thing it is caused by my psoas muscles being tight. If anyone has a trick to fix this I would love
to hear it.

I had mine released via deep tissue massage on recommendation from Jeff Kaste.  It was absolutely the right thing for me at the time and it worked like a dream.  It was, however, extremely invasive.  I highly recommend it as a nuclear option.

Otherwise just Google psoas stretch.  You will get a lot of hits.

^ This.

It's a constant battle. I have lordosis so my hips/thighs are aways tight or so my chiro says. So I am stretching and rolling them every day. But nothing compares to a sweet deep tissue invasion of your abdominal area.

Same problem here too. I hit mine with a softball through the lower ab and hip area. Painful but effective. Psoas has haunted me for 12 years. Wrecked me in Boise, Estes, Celtic and Kirksville this year.

I looked into the deep tissue message. 70.00/hr Wow!
How long does it alleviate the problem?
