Howdy all -
I am considering competing in the San Antonio Highland Games in April, and am curious to see if there were any groups in this area training on a regular basis.

I am in San Marcos.

Thanks!
Gable

Mike's in the off-season right now, but there are a few of us in Austin training on weekends.  Sometimes when we work out at Mike's place and use his toys  he comes and joins us.  He put all of us on the road.  Mike is a man among men.

Feel free to come join us - we're throwing south this weekend, so it may be within striking distance for you more than when we throw north.  We live all over town so we kind of rotate where we throw, so that the gas$ gets spread around.

Also, I think a guy named James Parman is in your neck of the woods...

Gable just to let you know we have a highland game coming up in April in Dallas as well. The Scarborough Fair Highland Fling weekend. :)

You can come make fun of Duncan with the rest of us :)

Remind me why an Englishman is playing in a Scottish game in Texas?

Gable,

Do not be led astray by this man.  So what if I put tacky on the ball end of the hammer...it was an honest mistake...could have happened to anyone

Could be worse...I could be tall and left handed...

Go to Scarby Gable...a competition exceeded only by the character, and characters, of the athletes.
