No tear. So that's good. Achilles has "thickened"

No restrictions on training. Just some rehab stuff and perhaps a shot to help with the inflammation.

Its been a while. I nearly forgot my password lol.

My back had been shitty for about a month. My chiro left town, so I found an office nearby my work. Wow! This guy is fantastic.

Been on a four day rotation; squat, bench, ohp, back(w/o DL due to lower back probs). Been on 5x1 85-95% then 3x10 in the 60-70% range.

catching up...

Squat up to 425 then 3x10 330 to a box
Bench up to 345 then 3x10 250
press up to 235 (250 fail) then 3x10 175
back day is just accessories

New chiro has my back feeling great, so DL will be back on the menu soon. Going to wait until after N/S to be safe.

I reached out to R. Stewart last night and he's going to put together a 12 week DL program for me. Excited to get after it.

Side note: Anyone know where I can acquire 100lbs worth of chains?

Craigslist has had the best deals on 3/4in chain that I've seen. My local hardware store has up to 1/2in chains though, so maybe check those if price isn't a priority.

I just started a new program that Squatch put together for me. It's focus is to improve my deadlift. Going to get back to logging so I can track the progress. I've had a few ups and downs this offseason. Upper lifts have been great, lower body has been rough. I am about 90% recovered from the torn calf muscle I suffered 12 days before N/S. Looking forward to this new program.

Day 1 (yesterday)

DE upper (max bench 365, press 250)

bench 160x3x8 45 sec rest
press 115x3x8 45 sec rest
neutral grip pull ups 4 sets amrap
single arm BD rows w/100's 4 sets amrap

This was super easy. ME lower day coming tomorrow. Should be fun.

First -- skrong work

Second -- the version of strep going around is clocking about five days of fever even with antibiotics.  Both my boys had it in sequence.  It's nasty this year, so good luck.

If Ryan told you to use minis on DE squats, then by all means stick with them, as they may be part of his master plan.

But otherwise, generally speaking, minis are not nearly enough band tension for someone who squats as much as you.  Unless you are doubling them.  IMO, it'd make more sense choking a light or average band.

Otherwise, I like it!  Nice work in here.
