Brittney,

What is the TCAA age threshold for Masters -- 40 or 45?

We are using the 40yr marker as a masters rank for both Men and Women's classes.

No shirt?  A whole lotta ugly is going to be prowling around if no shirts are allowed (talking about the men only).

Really contemplated coming out again, but it is only 2 weeks before Arnold.  Part of me says it would be good to actually be able to practice some...part of me says it is dumb to risk a injury or something.

Yep, we usually do this show a little later in the month, but in order to avoid conflict with the Arnold we moved it forward to afford folks that rest between comps. Would love to see ya back in Texas, Rob.

Easiest airport pick up ever!

For those not in the know: Rob and I had never met, and Duncan was supposed to pick him up, but his leg was in NO shape for driving so soon after surgery, so at the last min I get a call to go fetch Rob at DFW. Sure, no problem!

Pull up to the terminal before I realize that I have NO CLUE who I am looking for, nothing not even an age range on this cat. Hooray technology, I call one heavily drugged up Duncan, and before I can even ask him what to look for out rolls a fairly biggish man rocking an untamed mountain man beard, ratty ball cap, flannel shirt, sports pants and hauling a metric ton of gear. Yep, that's who I was sent to pick up, no question.

Arnold folks...y'all come on down and get a Games in. When it's done, we'll shag so y'all can practice.

I'm talking to you Rob.

You know it's a good time and the A class will be loaded. Isaac, Nate P., maybe Scott H.

Got a great lineup so far.  Hope some more of you make it out.   I'm counting an even 30 spread throughout the classes right now.  Women's class is rocking it!

Our Den-Mother, Suzie, actually asked me the other day if I thought anyone would be interested in her making candied bacon and bacon popcorn for the throwers this time around. I believe my enthusiasm has convinced her of the TRUTH - Bacon is Love.

Looks like Landrich Power Systems is coming through in the clutch for us, yet again! We will have women's masters weights for those ladies that need the prep before the Arnold.

The city seems to have modified our field a bit - please look for updates this evening on what this means for our games start times and event orders once we get it sorted out!

Folks,
Here's the new schedule for show-ups:

8am start for A class
8:30am start for Women/Womens Masters
9am start for Masters/Lightweights
9am start time for Amateurs on Sheaf

We didn't want to do it this way, but the City just isn't going to play ball. Even though we've paid for the field, Highland Games takes a backseat to pick-up soccer and reggaeton churro trucks. And while I am all about churros, as I am sure most of my Games peeps are, I'd rather us start a little early and make sure everyone gets EVERY event as opposed to being kicked off the field by the police (like last time) and run the risk of someone not getting something.

If y'all have questions, holler at me.

Let's get it done.
The man in the arena.

Let me get this straight....

The City is going to obstruct a large collection of highly motivated strength athletes...

Carrying heavy weights on chains, hammers, and pitchforks...

Eeediots.
