I would like to thank everybody who worked so hard to make the KC games so great, it was a fun weekend. I would like to mention the great work of AD Doug McDonald and a special thanks to Larry Ventress and Mike McGee who judged the C class. Very classy event, great food, and a lot of fun.

+1! And thanks to Scott Runnels who judged the flight of Master's Women, Men 50-59, and Men 60+. In spite of the marshy field for Sunday left by the rains, fun had by all!

Was a fantastic time with a great bunch of throwers. Doug did a great job and we were blessed with a good, albeit humid, Sunday to throw on.

For those who weren't there:
On Sunday, the overnight rains ended up making the men's 20# sheaf into a 30# sheaf that resulted in breaking the fork of one of the competitors. Sheesh! |

It still can't be as good Sammy as about 4 years ago or so when it was so bad Zolk was doing the WOB in over ankle deep water lol. I thought for a few min there we might see an ark float by.

I remember seeing video of that. However, WOB was our first event of the day and we got a LOT of puddle splash all over us. We also used the puddle water (under the bar, mind you) to clean the mud off the weight in case it had landed in a drier spot where the mud ended up sticking. |
