Here is a nice wee film produced by VisitScotland which is being used to help generate interest in MWC2014 which starts in Inverness on Thursday - Sept 11th.

Partying with the 450 folk arriving on the banks of the River Ness from 14 countries. What's not to like?

Yeah Brian, I would have thought WEE LITTLE Gerry would have been up on his soapbox(so he could look eye to eye with Mark Howe) sprouting about his games and the world record caber toss ,we only got the video of opening nite...maybe a caber hit him and scrunched him down to a height of 3-6( from 4-10) so he can't reach the keyboard anymore

Erica Hay, repeats as Women's Champion. She was in a car wreck on her way to the Games, and got a broken nose. She arrived just in time for her last event, caber toss, which she won. Then went on to pick up the ladies Inver Stone and dropped it over a 4ft. rail.

I have to assume that you think those who visit this board really care about how the caber toss went, the number of attendees, and the exciting news that it was the first 3 day game there.

I know I was holding my breath waiting to hear that information.  I can breath again.  Thanks

This board has really gone down hill . . .

MWC was great. Hell of a comp. came down to the caber between Tommy and I.

I actually decided to take part in the WR caber toss. And, it was a blast.

Had a great time as always with the mature set at these games. Made a few new friends.

No big throws in our class.

Congratulations to Euan Cameron (Scotland) and Chad Ullom and Mark Wechter (USA) at the Masters World Championship on becoming the 5th, 6th and 7th men to successfully lift the Inverness Stone over a five foot bar.

Our very own Karen Sutherland of Inverness become the first (and so far only) woman to lift the Ladies Stone.

World class.

Congratulations everybody!
