May 9th
here's the roster.
still some room in the Masters and LW, AMS and WOMEN closed.
top AMS ranked the day of will compete in the PRO/AM Class, limit up to 10.
2 judges per class have been procured, same folks from the first 5 years.
Not one to be missed, since the local pipers keep shunning me, a couple local buddies might be helping me grow this as an old timey circus for entertertainment as opposed to a Highland Games.

We'll finally get to see Britney north of the Mason-Dixon line? Sweet!

Last time I checked, not only Albany, but all of New York was north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Made it up North a few times over the years, but this is for sure my first East Coast games. Glad to get in before the cut off on this one, lots of ladies on that list I know only by reputation and outranking me on the leader boards. Excited to go get my learn on.
Highland Games - The drama is so high, because the stakes are so low.

I have seen some of these Heavies unwinding after a hard day in the field in Scotland

If NASGA did rankings for having a seriously good time.... this would be up there

well B, here's the thing.
in ALB, the piping community seems to see themselves as better than the atheltes or maybe they just dont like me personally, i really dont know what it is. either way, i cant get anyone to come play and start up the piping side of the festival.
so, if there's going to be anything, this year it'll be the start of a circus. i handed it over to some cool cats, if they do something with it, great. if they dont, thats cool too, because we all know in ALB the real circus comes to town after we all leave the field.

I have no comment on the good times. Don't take Jasen's word for it...come play...we are celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, and mothers in one weekend. I'll drink to that. Tip-back time is when the height events start;)

So are we talking Bread and Circuses, or Clown Circus, or Cirque De Sol?
