The 2015 Gaylord Highland Games will be Saturday, June 27, at the Otsego County Sportsplex on Gornick Ave. in Gaylord, Michigan. The classes contested will be Am A, Am B, Masters 40+, and Women. Jason Cherry is the AD, and can be contacted at 989-619-6809 for registration information.

The cost is twenty dollars to play.  You get lunch, waters, Gatorade, and a T-shirt.  Awards for 1st-3rd place.  There is a kilted dinner on the Friday (on your dime) and a meal/awards presentation on ours.

We are a SGL regional game.

Registration normally opens in May and closes at the end of the month but a local music venue moved to our date (it is called "The Big Ticket", a christian music weekend) that fills our local area hotels quickly.  So I am opening the process now and will close it on the 22nd of May and hope to have the monies in so I can pay the bills by June 2nd.

Is there an entry form or just in when paid?

Old enough to know better. Still too young to care.

Throwers if you plan on throwing here be sure to get your hotel reservations in early. There are many chain hotels here so look them up online and hold your room.

If this is our first summer of throwing, would you suggest registering for Am A or Am B?

As a normal rule folks will go B Class.  Now this is mitigated if you have throwing background, strength level, and/or being the size of a mountain, etc. that allow you to heave weights a fair bit.

On experience alone you would go B but if you feel you want a bigger challenge due to the above go A.  If you go B and knock it out of the park then you know you need to move up.

Hope that helps.
