Big thanks and kudos to Doug and everyone else who helped put on another great KC games! Food (Melanie Mellinger and family), scorekeeping (Caitlyn Ventress and Terri), judges (Andy, Larry V, Scott R, and Ian E): all super!
This was my 8th time here and this year did not disappoint in the least. I was SOOOO very happy the rain held off on Sunday until everyone was nearly done, especially after the puddle splashes and wet sheaf bags from last year's overnight rainstorms. Our small Women's Master's group was done in what I thought was record time; only the last 3 men in WOB were throwing when rain storms finally ran through the area. Saturday's reports were similar: only a little rain that did not disrupt things. KC Scottish Highland Games is one to put on your "must throw" list! Thanks again to all! |
