Lannie Pullon pulled off a big win at the new Tennessee Highland Games today in beautiful Triune, Tn. Big throws in the stone, hammer and lite weight plus two twelves with a nasty caber gave Lannie the overall Athlete of the Day award.

Adam Schaeuble was runner up and Donnie Scott third overall.

Pullon hit 99-4 with the heavy hammer; Schaeuble won the sheaf at 32. Also noteworthy was Masters thrower Rick Kramer clearing 14 easily with the spin for the 56 wfh.

Large (est.2,500) crowd and nice cool weather on hand gave this new games site a great inaugural.

Jeremy Mckinney won the B class, Tony Lynch was runnerup.

The announcer was really good too.

Complete scores will be posted soon.

Thanks for the mention Kent and Damon.I had a pretty good day all around and had alot of fun too.It was a great venue. We threw in a stadium like setting with seats all the way around. There was a bunch of good throwers and a pretty good crowd all day.I am looking forward to next year already.Kent just a quick question. What is the obsession with waffles in tennessee? There must have been a waffle house at every exit on the interstate.Just curious.

CaberRick--just continue your journey south on 75 and you will never be out of sight of a waffle house.
