In some games I will be using multiple cabers - Recently I ran an open division and used three cabers -- basically breaking the open class up into three throwing divisions for the caber - an A, B, and C caber was used.

I entered the scores for the A caber and fudged the rest using degrees smaller than the worse A attempt.

Any suggestions of a better way of doing this?

If its an open division, I would probably choose one caber to be the scoring
caber.   If you have 3 cabers, probably make the first one a "qualifier" the
second the scoring, and the third a challenge caber. (depending on how
many athletes turned each one, you could make the 3rd the scoring and just
have 2 qualifiers.) If anyone is unable to turn the qualifier, then they should
probably get a zero in the database.

l'd run everyone thru on the lightest caber with a side judge, that way you've got a score for all competitors.   Then move those who turned it to the middle caber with no side judge, meaning the winner will have had to actually have turned the caber.  Finally, put those who turn it on the biggest one, still no side judge.

Score backwards.  Big caber turners, middle caber turners, little caber turners, and then by degrees.

Athletes get lots of practice and the crowd sees a lot of action!  Win/win.
