50 cents a pound. Most likely though you may pay $1.00 per lb

I've bought them as cheaply as 10 cents a pound, but I think those days are gone.  I agree with an offer of 50 cents, but you might expect to pay more.

I bought some used weight last year from Play-it-again Sports for 39.

I have been watching craigslist they have some good deals somtimes from those who bought last year for new years and have given it up.

Craigslist can go almost anywhere from "get that junk outta here" to more than you can buy new stuff for.  Also check  Goodwill - I've found a couple good buys there over the years and don't forget to check every Yard Sale you drive buy come spring.  Play It Again is around .50 right now but don't be afraid to make them an offer for less - some times they will come down if you take a little more stuff too.

I'd say around .50/pound is a good starting point. I picked up 500 pounds a few months back for about .35/pound on Craigslist. A couple weeks ago I picked up four 100# plates at Play It Again Sports for .55/pound. I check Craigslist a couple times a day, I just missed 450 pounds last week for $35.

Around here you can buy them for 50 cents/lb all day long on craigslist.  I waited for a good deal and got them for ~.35, and thw bar was included in that price.

If I were putting out a WTB ad, I'd probably say ".35/lb or best offer."

Depending on type and how much overall weight, I have them at $.45 to $.75 per pound.
