Kurt,

I have been having problems entering scores. The game  I am enterign them for is the Bay Area Ren Fest Feb 21/22.

No matter what I try, I keep seeing:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'

Object required

/dbase/resultsentry4.asp, line 2485

- I have tried entering only one person at a time.
- I tried multiple people at a time.
- I tried bringing up the form with all events shown.
- I tried bringing up the form with only the contested events shown.
- If I change the caber size, notes or records, those fields update.
- The caber scores are entered as 85(3). I do not get the "red box" on any input when I submit.
- I am attempting to add scores to a division that one person made an entry to (Fraser Ewan). I do not know how he entered the scores (all events, or only the ones contested).
- I tried entering scores using Firefox, IE6, and IE7.
- The next thing I was going to try was to enter scores for a different division.

I only added the steps I took above to aid in troubleshooting.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm assuming this all happened today or late last night.  I made a change to this page last night that is probably the problem.  Don't try anything else.  I'll check it out and let you know.

Yup...I tried most of it last night around 9:00pm, and tried a couple more things this morning.

Thanks for looking into it. You rock!

Should be all set now.  There's still a bug for when no caber score is entered but it should work for now.

Tried it again. This time I got:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.

/dbase/resultsentry4.asp, line 2793

I will send you (e-mail) a screen shot of the data entry. Maybe it is something I am doing.

Got a "mailbox full" error trying to send you the screen shot.

Here it is if you want to see it.

ROb Schultz entered the scores for me and it worked.

Thanks Kurt.
