So much to do...so little time.

Moved a bunch of furniture last night/this morning, so no time to lift. GVT Squats tonight.

So, a few questions for the folks who read this trash and are better stone folks than I (basically everyone):

1. Where do you seat a braemar stone for your throw? I realize this sounds like a silly question, but I've been doing a bit of research and am wondering if having it loaded that high on my neck (around my right ear) is a bad thing/costing me distance.

2. Pros/Cons to training with shots? Selling off equipment and came across a few of these...wondering if they are really even worth keeping.

Thanks for the insight folks!
The man in the arena.

I am no means an expert in throwing but took lessons from a great one(17/20) I remember him telling me for braemer it was more forward and under the chin instead of high on neck and further back

D,
That's what I've been seeing in photos...just never done it. Have to get it right before Bill and Bombsatron crush my soul at Maine and Loon.

Is your brain in constant pain from over thinking everything?

I put it in the same spot as the open stone because that's the most comfortable.  I doubt that's right or technical, but I used to throw a decent braemar, and placement seems pretty trivial and individualized anyway.

You have a stone right?  Just use that imo.

Also, called it.  Praise be.

Early AM throws and jog.

Mile and half...various ladder sprints.

OStone goofabouts. Rotational stuff still feels a little weird. Lots of fouls. Good distances...too bad. Vids on YT.

Exaggerate the twist on the first wind.

Wide right. Start practicing this on the release wind. When you have that, move to previous winds.

PUSH the ball.

Embrace feeling just this side of out of control.

Finish the push on release.

Great day throwing with MurdaMurda, Bombsatron, and Tosteeto.

Solid day w/stones...37/49.
Weights 40+/79.
WOB maybe 13', maybe 16'. We kinda goofed this up. I feel pretty confident it was over 15', but who knows.
Light hammer.

Was good to get out and get some stuff done.

2 miles this morning, then GVT back and bi's.

I also bet three million dollars on The Notorious. Second round KO/TKO.

The Red King by decision.
