I wonder about doing line drills/hammer winds/wob practice w/ a kettlebell & an ETS band.

Would it be better to maintain constant tension on the band(smoother rotation) or work the low point push or pull?

W/ my lines/winds I've been working for being smooth, but w/ the standing wob movement I'm not sure.

If I work my low position and pull - do I want to wait on the weight until my back is perpindicular( to the ground )or parallel?

My wob sucks. I learned last year pulling 5 doesn't automatically mean jack sh*t when timing sucks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd loose the ETS bands.  They're going to interfere with your form.  Better to concentrate on dry runs and line drills with lighter implements and beam drills.

You might want to give kettlebell snatches and or swings a try.

I would look at video.  You are probably not in a position to use you strength.  I have always made the argument that if you squat or pull 200 more pounds than me but can't apply it to the weight, what good is it.  Position, position, position.  Easier said than done, but I believe it.

HB I read an article by Randy Barnes, and he says exactly what you just said
if you can't get into position you just won't get a throw off and it won't
matter what you have done in the Gym. He also felt using heavier and
Lighter shots never really helped him.

Thanks Guys, the bands were only used to create some kind of indoor throwing movement w/o worrying about losing the implement( I would wrap my hand through the bands loop)

But once the weather got better, I was able to get my hammers/56 out, the bands are a thing of the past. As well as totally useless - the way I was using them, IMO.

Lesson Learned
