Thank you to KO for the hospitality this weekend.  His family opened their home to me for a wonderful stay.  It was my return to the field and it was something to remember.  What a great feeling to take the field again with a bunch of my friends there to enjoy it with.  It was so great to see everyone and it just made it all come home how much I missed them.  The smell of the grass and tacky was fabulous.  Glasgow is a real family game with the Overfelt family loving on you.  They really put the feed on there, if you go hungry it is your fault.  The only game that you can compete all day and gain weight.  I want to thank my family here also for the support this past year in helping me overcome the challenges I have faced.  I have a long ways to go, but I am on the road and I just can't describe the feeling that is.

Your brother in steel,

Myles

Thats awesome brother!!!!  I think we all take the small things for granted, like the smell of the grass and the tacky...  Next time im on the field I will take the time to cheerish the little things...

Thanks Myles

Great post Myles. I will definitely take time to "Stop and smell the tacky" the next time I am privileged to be on the field. Great to see you on the field again.

Just wondering, with all the illness and injury posted on this board, what does it take to bring a highland games beast down? Arm cut off, throw with other.
Torn muscles, just throw at 90%.Hostile alien attack,
try to throw at the bad guys!!!
Nails say,tough as throwers.
