When doing the WFD events does tacky make much diffrence if i don't have any grip issues when throwing? In practice i do not use tacky and my handles on my wfd implements are nice and smooth. At HG comps usually all handles have some amount of tacky on them.I throw slightly farther in games and can't determine wether it's the games excitment themselves or the tacky handle that makes that bit of improvement.Maybe some of both?Like to here your guys opinions.

Yes.

But tacky on you, not on the implement.

anything that let's you kinesthetically lengthen your lever
will help your throw. so easy grip means relaxed forearm,
then relaxed bicep, then relaxed shoulder, then relaxed
neck, then relaxed face. all that stuff helps create a
longer lever.

So...I need to relax my face and I'll throw farther? Got it! Haha!

Where do you place the tacky on your hand? Is it over the thumb so you can hold a better hook grip?

I keep the tacky on my steering wheel and phone most of the time then move it to my hand to throw.

Remember when we called you from the field at Loon in 09?  I finally had to get a new phone.  It wasn't the tacky so much as the grass and twigs that were the issue.

I've never used tacky for WFD but I do love the smell of it and will take a whiff between throws.

If I ever use tacky on anything other than Hammer and Caber (The backside of my knuckles) I have only put it from the pads of my hand (the part with callous) to my fingertips. That's most of where my grip is with WFD. I usually prefer tape, glove, or just good old fashioned bare hand.

If I put it anywhere its just on the back of my thumb using the hook grip.
