What is the difference between lucky and dynasty?  Two wins vs multiple national championships.

Not nuff said for me what does that mean???  I am actually a Husker fan so I  wanted to lay low on this topic for a few years top see what would happen>>>>>>>>  The OU game this year should be very interesting....  if nothing else We should be able to confuse the OU D for a bit just because there is no way they will know how to handle the Big Red throwing the ball more than twice and not having one of those passes to our own QB.......

I was abit surprised to see OU have trouble this weekend but it looked like the other team was pretty well prepared atleast for the 1st half....

Husker fan? BWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAHA!.  Well if you are living back in the early 90's then yeah...I'd have some worry.

As for OU this weekend? they played 1/2 assed against a good solid team. this was BG's BCS Championship as far as they were concerned. OU treated it as JAV (Just another victim).

Yeah I think the nebraska game will be interesting...until kickoff. About the time your former HC brings the hammer on you guys. He is our asst DC you know?

That is very interesting I seem to remember a few years of OU being the laughing stock of the conference>>>>>

Of course I am not surprised that you would forget, as OU usually does.   As for Bo Pelini(sp?)  I think we will be ok he will be sorry wooried about killing us that it will only hurt him..   And as for the 90's I think we have been in the top 10 more times since 90 than o who anyway..  But I will have to look that one up..  I do not think we have the athletes to compete with you this year but I would think our upward trend will outlast your team as it always has...  We are more of a constant than a flashin the pan for a few years..  Especially as your HC would run to the NFL if he had a chance and leave you all alone .......   But I think the next few years may keep him in the college ranks as they will have some unexpected losses....

Well now champ let me see 7 national championships, two appearances in the last 5 years with a win. As for history? I believe OU is #2 on the all time National champs list.

Bottom line, Bob is going no where. We have the best depth in the entire NCAA And are set up for the next 4 years as is.  But no worries...there is nothing wrong with being 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th in the Big 12.

I know this will be hard to understand but this goes into what I ould consider a winner as well.

1.  I think there may have been a problem with ethics during a former coaches time  as HC?????

2.  How do your athletes do in the class??

  • 91% of scholarship athletes who have exhausted their eligibility have graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln - a total that leads the Big 12.
  • Nebraska leads the nation with 217 CoSIDAAcademic All-Americans, including nine student-athletes who earned Academic All-America honors in 2003-04.
  • Nebraska leads the nation with 14 NCAA Today's Top Eight Award recipients, while the Husker football team's nine honorees is the most by any single program in the nation.
  • Nebaska's state-of-the-art computer lab features a combined total of 51 IBM-compatible and Macintosh computers complete with laser printers. Laptop computers are also available on a checkout basis for road trips and other extended absences.
  • Nebraska had 146 student-athletes named first-team Academic All Big 12 during the 2003-04 Academic year.
  • Nebraska employs over 75 tutors and four supplemental instructors addressing all academic disciplines.
  • 239 Nebraska scholar-athletes (sophomore level and above) were honored at the 2004 Academic Awards Banquet for achieving a 3.0 or higher GPA in the previous two semesters. Football student-athlete Judd Davies and Cross Country/Track student-athlete Ann Gaffigan were named the 2004 Male and Female Student-Athletes-of-the-Year as selected by the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee. Women's Gymnastics and Men's Cross Country claimed the Herman Team GPA Award.
  • Football player Judd Davies and Volleyball player Anna Schrad were selected as Big 12 Postgraduate Scholarship winners in 2004.
  • During the 2003-2004 academic year, 56 Nebraska student-athletes recorded perfect 4.0 semesters in either the fall or spring term.
  • Track athlete Kyle Goerl and swimming student-athlete Rachel Schlatter have been elected as President and Vice President of the Nebraska Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2004-05 academic year. In recent years, the Student-Athlete Advisory Board received the "Award of Excellence," as presented by College Athletic Management Magazine.
