Regular readers will know that as a result of some folk having a twisted interpretation of its purpose; that this forum is struggling to achieve its full potential as a great place where information can be exchanged and great ideas creatively caber tossed around for the benefit of all.

My recent (and now closed) thread regarding our televised (therefore good for Highland Games) Guinness World Record attempt in September was hijacked by one person in particular; who then lost the plot and crossed the line big style.

To actually threaten Detroit Pete  was not only the complete and utter opposite of what Highland Games are all about; it is also obviously so illegal as to be the dumbest thing I have seen on here since too many people started looking the other way when the record books were being rewritten!

Do you really want to spend time in jail?

This Forum needs more people like Detroit Pete who can actually remember where the line is and is not afraid to say so.

So, rather than let it die, you fell the need to keep stirring the pot?

Beating the dead horse didn't work, so let's beat the dead elephant

I meant you could make a new "Guinness WR" thread, due to the direction that thread went.

Being intentionally obtuse about that and re-starting the drama isn't cool.
