Making North Americans aware about Scottish socio-economical and cultural issues on a North American forum is not going to help the problem.
Unless like 10000 Americans moved to Scotland to change life as you know it. I understand the issues behind the festivals and the culture of highland games but there isn't a whole lot we can do over here.

No but making you guys aware of the challenges faced by the organisers of the Highland Games over here may prove useful down the line if you find your Games and your Clan Networks starting to show signs of slowing down.
North America is certainly facing similar challenges as a result of being an aging society http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/9579950/World-faces-ageing-population-time-bomb-says-UN.html Anyway - we wandered off topic as usual. I was just saying that it was really refreshing to have Event Management Students looking at Scotland's Highland Games differently. |
