A bit surprised there isn't anything on the board on this, it was an awesome competition. Adriane picked up her fifth world championship. Was down a point to Kristy going into day two. Worked her way up to a six point lead going into the final scoring event. Two misses and a single pull away from a no height in sheaf that would have been impossible to come back from with 13 gals in the comp. Haven't seen a moment that tense since watching Matt with two fouls in the HWFD against Ryan at Pleasanton about a dozen years ago. But like all the great ones she has ice water in her veins when the pressure is on. Pulled it over and then proceeded to win the event. Absolutely clutch throwing. What a great champion!

Brittany Pryor was unreal to watch. Reminded me of a comment Ayrton Senna made about Michael Schumacher when he first came to F1, something along the lines of "If this guy ever gets a Renault engine we can all go home." If she ever gets a coach and focuses on HG she'll be one hell of a thrower. Pulled 103+ in light hammer with a reversed grip.

Really enjoyed watching Emily Burchett for the first time. One of the most proficient all around HG throwers I have ever seen. Katie Steingraber in sheaf was unbelievable. Her pull is to explosive as axe murderer is to kitten. Kinda like a way good looking Kearney Smith (no worries, I still love you best K-doggy). Lots of great throws all around.

Pro class competition was top notch. Big win for Spencer Tyler. And when the pros came out to shag cabers for the ladies challenge caber, well, pure class guys. No other way to say it.

Great to see old friends. Big John (awesome BBQ buddy), Brent Abbot, Sue Peterson, the Hobson clan (make Andrew come out next year, just to hang out and BS). But biggest thanks go to Michelle Crownhart who was awesome as AD and to Sara who worked tirelessly to make sure all of the athletes and officials had whatever they needed.

Didn't get to Alice Cooperstown (Suns game had the city center clogged) but the Delmonico steak and martinis at Durant's were pure old school - halfway expected the Rat Pack to saunter in. The worlds tallest midget needs to put that one on his itinerary for a Drifta Lifta segment.
Cheers,

Carlos

Great synopsis.

We were providing updates on the SGL facebook page.  But, this was a matter of posting pics of the event score sheets, along with some pics at the end of the day.

We hope to continue to develop the "streaming" of events in the future.

Would be good to be able to add some color commentary

I kept expecting to see updates somewhere but it pretty much was in a vacuum...it sounds like it was a great competition, big congrats to Adriane and all the women who competed. Oh yeah, and to the pro caber shaggers...

There were updates on Facebook via SGL and Beth Burton.

I apologize I have not been on the forum much and missed the kind words about 2015 WWC. Michelle Crownhart and her crew did an amazing job with all the classes and highlighting the ladies for Worlds. The competition was fierce and a great display of talent and hard work that the women have been putting in their training. Carlos was outstanding on the microphone all weekend!

Really looking forward to the rest of the season!
