I am trying to get an exhibition games event at the Rochester Country Fair in Rochester, MA on Sunday, August 16th,2015. The fair runs from august 12-16, details available at www.rochesterma.com . This is the first go at having an exhibition here, which if all goes well may evolve into a full-fledged official competition in years to come.
If there are any athletes who want to help with this exhibition please let me know. I hope to find as many people as possible, but will work with what I can get. if you have questions please let me know! slainte, Kevin Thompson founder The Brotherhood of the Kilt |

best of luck. With Maine that weekend it will be tough to get New England athletes. Let me know if I can help out with questions or advice, but I couldn't make it.

I think you'll get some Ma RI Ct folks IF you can make is a sanctioned event- no clue what that would involve. It's a long drive for some. The Maine Games has lost a bit leaving Thomas Point - tossing the caber on the coast no more.
Good Luck though. Lot of people I'm sure will pitch in. D Stewart |

I live in Boston, and would have trouble getting to Rochester in one piece that day. The games in Maine are the 15th, and I'm not sure my arm would hold up doing back to back days.
That being said, I'm personally not that bright, and would probably be willing to give it a whirl.

Hi Kevin,
I pointed out the Maine Highland Games conflict last year, when the Rochester Country Fair committee approached me. I'm saddened to hear that my advice to move the date was not heeded. I'm still willing to try and help you guys out, if you're able to secure participants. I see that the Rochester Country Fair committee has already run an advertisement in the local paper that they would be hosting a Scottish Heavy Athletics component this year. I hope that disclosure was not premature. Cheers, Scott |

Is this still happening? The web site doesn't have a release form up.

If I was not spending the weekend in Maine, I'd be willing to come. It'd be great to have another NE event. Good luck.
