Hey-

This year we'll award a first Grand Master at the Masters World Championship. The tradition at the St. Louis Highland Games has been to award an athlete of the year as sponsored by the Logan College of Chiropractic.

So, we'll determine the athlete who performed nearest the Scottish Masters Records and present the crystal bowl to that person. It will include both men and women and all age groups will be judged to their records.

i have no idea who will be selected, but mine eyes have seen the glory of Team Miller, most recently at the newly revived Tennessee Games last weekend (held at Andrew Jackson's Home, the Hermitage, we had a huge crowd: Athletic Director Kerry Overfelt and staff did a great job with the tools and the vibrant commentary, the weather was perfect).

Two stouter fellows than the Millers are nowhere to be found, equally impressive, athletic, powerful.

It was exhilarating to watch them perform the events, and the upcoming Worlds will no doubt get the same attention.

There are some great throwers in the Masters level competition and i wish the Best of luck to all participants in St Louis.
