Thank you!! I'm going to paste my thanks from my FB post. I had included a picture of the award that I could bring home (the big one stays with the Games.) I will tell you this, having my name on the same award that has Dan McKim's name on it is quite a thrill for me.

Back home safe and sound and have the essentials unpacked, dinner and my trophies;) This Athlete of the Year award is by far one the most amazing things I have ever received in my 48 years. My gratitude to the St Louis Scottish Games athletic director, Logan University, Kevin Rogers,Merl Lawless (and your wonderful wives!) and every single volunteer; judge; shagger; water deliverer, and all those who worked around the clock for months and months so we could come and play for two days is immeasurable. A very special thank you to the crowd, your support means everything to the throwers!

A very personal thank you to my tribe, for your cheers and laughs and love and especially for your allowing me to share my utter disappointment in myself (hopefully briefly;) in not finishing strong. Thank you Beth Burton for your advice on how to move forward on that front, I value your words and will work hard to implement;) Yvonne SadtlerMax SadtlerVictoria Lucero WechterMark Wechter, we are blessed to be surrounded by your friendship. Each and every one of you giving hugs or words of encouragement, there are so many, thank you. And most of all, to my amazing husband Matthew Wanat; sharing the field and these experiences with you is such a small part of the gift of sharing a life with you. I miss you already.

And lastly this, I did not bring home the prize I thought I went for, but my mind couldn't have even imagined everything I DID bring home!! A reminder to me to always dream bigger!!!

Aloha

You have to stop doing that Juli, if it worked we'd all be doing it.
