Looking for people training around Chicago

Hello,
       I train with kettlebells regularly and I have been on a program to move heavier in the 6-10 rep range.  I believe that it is so that my trainers can ensure that I am also focusing on the form and building endurance on top of gaining strength.  
       I dropped out of the powerlifting club during my undergraduate years without darkening the door of a competition because I was in a bad place in my life. I hope that I can finally make my dream to compete in a strong person competition a reality by competing in a Scottish theme game in the Midwest.        Who is training in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana/ Southeast Wisconsin/Downstate Illinois area? It would be idea to find a mixed group of ages and experience levels that can meet in some field or gym space that is safe for practicing throwing.

	I'll be interested. My wife are new to this. We competed once and loved it but still need to learn how to do things right. We are in Springfield, IL. We are currently strength training.

	For the folks in Springfield, Ancient Athletics is your go to. You have a huge throwing family there. As for the Chicago folks, you have many options. Jason's 'Northern Illinois Throwing Conglomerate' is a closed Facebook page. You can pm him for access. You could find Elissa Hapner on the FB, I don't know her throwing schedule but she is the standing Women's Champion and has helped others out I believe. We throw in the Milwaukee area, you're welcome to join us once we start up again. Welcome aboard! jp
