NFL films was out last summer during a local practice in Davenport, Iowa and came back to film at Celtic Festival and Highland Games of the Quad Cities this past September.

They were filming Mr. Julian Vandervelde!  For those who have thrown with and against him, you know he is a standup decent individual (as most highland gamers are!).  He was a 4 yr starter at University of Iowa (& graduated w/ 3 degrees from Iowa!), former Philadelphia Eagles.  He also was twice Iowa State High School Shot Put champ (60+ footer).

Lets hope this can be used to generate some publicity for this crazy sport.

The following is his post on Facebook giving the time:

"Did you know they made an NFL Films Presents about me throwing Highland Games? You didn't? Well now you do! Tune in to FS1 tomorrow night at 7:30 pm est to catch the crazy! I haven't even seen it yet, so I apologize for my conduct, just in case. It will air again December 11th on NFL Network, but catch it tomorrow so you can avoid spoilers!"
