Newbie in Kansas City area

   Hello, I am a newbie that is interested in competing in Highland Games. Ever since I saw them for the first time almost 20 years ago, I�ve wanted to try it out but never did. Now that I am in my 30s I figured better late than never. I�m looking for people around the Kansas City area that wouldn�t mind a newbie throwing with them occasionally. I actually live about 20 miles east of Kansas City. 
I�ve never done any sort of T&F stuff or anything like that, so I am pretty green. I recently bought the VP Production throwing training videos and have watched them a bit but haven�t actually done much throwing yet. I wanted to start throwing sooner but I had a rotator cuff issue. If anyone around this area wouldn�t mind me tagging along, I�d appreciate it. Thanks.
