ok here goes Steve Santoli wins the amtr class with a close win over Ryan McCarrol-2nd Place(big friggin pr in the 56 wob-hitting a 30-4 after hitting up to 32 in practice now has a nice 30 footer in the books/and how showing the crowd how to nail a caber with a nice toss of the challenge caber)..Scott Duckett in 3rd place-great stone & 28 and a big win in the sheaf @ 28 feet...and in 4th was my gumba.my homey..my caber biotch, who is my training partner Tom Neslon who stepped up and finshed strong hit a huge pr in the 16 hammer by 4 feet, took second in sheaf & caber and looked good doing it..the rest of the field was Tony Robbins ,hapy Meyer,Wayne Hill, and dave Cheney who all hit pR's I believe...Womens class-Terri James and Denise Houseman fed off each other and had a spirited comp and Denise had a nice pr of 70+ in the hammer and is rapidly improving,Terri had a usual sold day posting a pR in the stone , and a Pr in the 28wfd of 38-7 and a huge throw of 43-7 in the 28wfd which she fouled on by sliiping and touching the ground with her hand..hats of to Bill Schmitt, skip and his crew who not only handled sunday without any probalems but ran saturdays comp with the pro's and masters.

OMG, I almost forgot about that!  For the benefit of the 6.45 billion that weren't present, Dave gave the sheaf a mighty pop, and it got caught on the end of the boom.  But it didn't just go up and hit the boom and stop, it did an artful pirouette before getting snagged.

Talk about unlikely events, and I don't THINK it was caught on film.

Thanks for the kind words. It was great to see everyone. The weather was great for throwing and it showed a lot of pr's set by Teri,Dave, and Tony and I'm sure there were more. It was a pretty good comp with Steve taking the early lead and I tried to make up some ground but bombed out in the 28. Congrats to Steve on his first overall win. Always look forward to going against him. Look for forward to doing it again.

ready for your next big games. Ill cut you some
slack because of your wedding coming up.
Congrats on that too!! Enjoy the day becuase it goes
by way to fast. Thanks to Bill for a well organized day
that flew by. Thanks to Dan, Zolk, and the Conn
Crew for coming out and supporting us Am's. And
thanks to Ryan. You made a huge step yesterday
and really brought your game to a new level. Your
making us all work harder to meet the challenge.
Dont worry about the 28# thing either. It will come.
Thanks to my mini mite crew, Wayne, Dave, and
Hapy! You guys are always great at games and I
love throwing with you.

Now thats better. There was just two much love flowing. Back to good old trash talk, and old fashioned calling out to get those juices flowing again.

See you all at Scottland Ct.

Hey wayne I think my cousins got a couple of shots of the hanging sheaf.  Ill try to post it when I get them.

This was my first time at Capital District and I had a blast. Sorry I could not meet up with the SCSU Boys for "AM" night. I hope you guys picked up a copy of the Gazette on your way out of town. Nice article in the Local section about the games and a big ass picture or Ryan "Show Off the Guns For the Camera" McCarroll. I have a copy and could send it to you.

I think I am done for the season, wedding bells are ringing and school has started. And yes Tony I will be training this year. Need to get my throws up and hopefully go pro after next year.

Oh, don't you worry, I plan on being WAY ahead by the time we get to
Goshen! The rarified air at Whiteface mountain is going to make my
LWFD fly like never before, and just wait for the WOB! All you going to
see is my backside! I am tired of getting beat by you last 2 times, so its
time to bring out the big guns!

Lots of smack being talked between Hapy and grasshopper. I don't want to see the two of you rolling around on top of each other at Goshen. From all the pent up hostility

There is nothing like the the bond that competitors build as there trying to scratch each others eyes out.
