i give up.

i was in a hurry. had fifteen minutes to cram in some lifting before a big presentation via teleconference on a large business deal, and then leaving immediately for a long road trip.

i hate sitting on planes, buses and trains knowing i haven't worked out. and the trips are murder; the bigbucks boys i work with don't know the meaning of working out.

shoulder has been killing me since last season, never got full use of it back. power cleans, high pulls, even curls, anything that rotates the shoulder forward and down was just too painful.

one set of warmups and then a couple sets of bent over rows with 250. usually well within my range, no sweat.

but this time, pop goes the weasel. an odd sensation of immediate arm injury, followed by a release of pressure in the shoulder joint. i am guessing that the tendon, finally sawed in half, freed up the shoulder joint which rotated backward into a more natural position.

have sports med physician consultation today. keep you posted if you like.

thanks

BTDT.

That's a relatively unusual set of symptoms.  I'd venture that 90% of RC impingements occur in pushing or OH pressing motions.  I'm sure the doc will know what this means.

He lays it all out so casual,  the tendon blowing like it was a relief of some kind.  When I blew out my cuff last year that was not the sensation I felt.  My sensation, was hey, I guess I am now left handed, and ouch.
