Midday Every event was working on form. Videoed today and realized I really have no form! Lots to work on. 22# Braemar for 10 throws. 17# Open Stone 10 throws 35# WFD 6 throws 21# WFD 7 throws 12# Hammer 10 throws I’ve always said as you get older how you think your throwing and watching video of yourself you see how far off the mark you are. |

DB Bench 45 x 5, 75 x 5, 110 x 4, 110 x 4, 110 x 4, 110 x 4, 120 x 4, 130 x 1. Did 2 attempts with the 130’s as I could not get my feet under me. Back was to stiff from the last 5 days. Will start working on back flexibility. Seated Rows 260 x 10, 260 x 10 Lat Pull Downs 260 x 9, 260 x 9 Caber Curls 90 x 9, 90 x 8 Was to wiped out from the 130’s to finish and called it a night. October 18 2022. Tuesday PM Threw 16# Sheaf hit 19’ 6”. Threw 35# WOB hit 11’ 6” Very happy with this. October 19 2022 Wednesday AM Threw 8# shot Braemar. Working on proper form on the reverse. LWFD 21# working on a turning right foot throughout the throw. PM Did Sumo Deadlift, worked up to 315 with no straps and no groove briefs. Could not lock out 335. Went down to 275 and did reps 4, 3, 4 Leg Press/Calf Raises 630 x 10/25, 720 x 10/25, 810 x 10/25. Have an opportunity to do a Push Pull next month, wanted to see where I am with no gear. |

November 16 2022. Wednesday PM threw 16# Sheaf, 35# WOB and Caber. Weather was God Blessed!! My strength is up where I need it. Now it’s time to do more stretching and mobility work to be more athletic. Also will start dropping some weight as well. Will add in the Sheaf Blaster several times a week to get me pass the 22’ height that I’m stuck at. Romanian core blaster for the WOB. Next game is in January. |

So have been real run down lately, just not recovering. Found out I had a UTI and low thyroid levels. By Gods grace have that fixed and starting back training.
December 26, 2022 Monday AM Threw Sheaf and WOB for 2 sets of 7. Midday Cut wood with an axe and sledge. PM Did DB Bench 55 x 5, 75 x 5, 100 x 4, 100 x 4, 100 x 4, 100 x 4, 110 x 4, 120 x 4, 100 x 7. Called it a day, very tired. |

Jan 1 2023 Sunday AM Ran 2.5 miles slow and easy. I truly miss running and want to add it back into the mix. PM Threw 21# WFD x 8 8# Toes To Trig x 7 8# Braemar x 7 8# WFD Added a new vitamin therapy to get my thyroid levels up as well as the Doc gave me a higher dose of Synthroid to take. Starting to feel better, but to be fair it’s usuall by the end of the week that It all falls apart. Also added hot and cold baths back to the mix. Run a tub full of the hottest water I can stand. Sit in it till I start to overheat then off to the open front porch where I have a horse trough large enough to comfortably sit in. It’s just right temperature wise this time of year. Sit in it till I start to shiver. Called it a day! |

Thanks to everyone who put this game on! Thanks to Joe and Letha for hosting Jamey, Rose and myself. We love you guys!!! So after this game and much reflection I have decided to revamp my training. I have always loved training heavy. I have always thought of myself as a lifter that throws. But old age has taken away my explosiveness. So a new type of training is necessary to try and get it back. January 16 2023. Monday DB Bench 45 x 7, 75 x 7, 75 x 7, 75 x 7, 75 x 7, 75 x 7, 75 x 7. All reps on every exercise were done as explosive and fast as possible. Lat Pulldowns 9 plates x 10, x10. Seated Rows 9 plates x 10, x 10. Caber Curls 75 x 10, 75 x 10. Shrugs 225 x 10, 315 x 10, 405 x 10 Done! Feeling much better with lots more energy!!! |

Leg Press for explosiveness 450 x 10, 450 x 10, 450 x 10 50# Kettlebell 1 arm WOB 50 x 10, 50 x 10. You WOB it with the right hand, let it go up in the air and catch it with the left. WON with the left and catch with the right. That is one set. Did a hot tub then really cold tub. |

All as fast as I could do. Caber Curls 80 x 10, 80 x 10, 80 x 10 as fast as I could do. Shrugs fast 225 x 10, 315 x 10, 405 x 10. Trying to get used to speed. 1/24/23. Tuesday Jump Rope 100 Cleans 45 x 5, 95 x 5, 115 x 5, 135 x 5. Hatfield SSB Squats banded 1 choke 145 x 5, 165 x 5, 185 x 5, 185 x 5, 185 x 5, 185 x 5. Just try to get used to these without getting hurt. Have been using a PUSH unit to measure bar speed. Just curious as to what it was. Will develop a set speed for each exercise as the training gets nailed down. |

Have been at it steady.
Sunday 3/19/23 Threw 35#HWFD and then the 21# LWFD just working on footwork. I don’t get all the way around and tend to throw off to the right. Also I don’t finish in a good throwing stance. So will start doing more footwork work outs. Finished with 12# hammer. The knee replacements have really messed with my hammer. Have started training with 1 spin and try and build from there. Monday PM 3/20/2023 Incline DB Bench 60# x 10, 80# x 7, 80 x 7, 80 x 7, 80 x 6, 80 x 5 60 x 9. Cable Pec work 30 x 10, 30 x 10, 30 x 10. Assisted pull ups 110 assist x 10, x 10 Pendlays 185 x 5, 185 x 8 Jump Rope fast for 110 reps Romanian Core Blaster 60 x 10, 75 x 10 Caber curls 80 x 10, 80 x 10, 80 x 10. Sheaf twist with a 50# DB x 10, x 10. Ran out of steam. |
