I am moving up to the Bay Area in mid-June and would like to find a group so that I can continue to train. I bring with me most of the necessary equipment, sans caber and sheaf bag, but would like to find some folks to train with. I plan on throwing at Santa Cruz games so that I can meet some locals.

For the short term I will be living on the peninsula around Redwood City, but will likely move once we sell the house in AZ and my family joins me. So knowing who is where would be a good data point for me going forward.

Also, any advice on where we should move the entire family is welcome. I truly know nothing about school districts, etc.

There are two active practice groups that are under an hour from Redwood City. Alan Hebert heads up the group on the Stanford campus and I coordinate a group that practices at Shaffer Park in the Santa Cruz area.  You would be very welcome with either group anytime.  Send me a PM with your email and I can give you more detailed information.

Yup...that's about right.  Shoot me a PM if you move to Redwood City.

I'm a Shaffer Park Throwe, it's a great place. Can't wait to get out there soon.
