I have always had a hard time balancing my food/nutrition intake throughout a long day of competition....Not taking to much as to feel bloated but still having enough to fuel myself thoughout events.

Carbohydrates, carbohydrates, and, maybe, some carbohydrates!

This is an important topic. I don't do well eating throughout Games day, doesn't matter if it's snowing on the field or 80 degrees and sunny.

I have a couple scrambled eggs in the morning and like Wally said, carb up YO! Oatmeal, ucky protein bars, a coke, anything to keep going but not so much that I have a crash. It's worked so far and I've hit three PR's on my final events in different games.

A great one to consult with on nutrition, on and off the field but Games week is really crucial is KO. He's helped me a lot.

You have to stop doing that Juli, if it worked we'd all be doing it.

I've been doing protein shakes with added carbs that I drink on between my throws. As well as a good meal during the lunch break. I just don't find myself feeling sustained...

Always have some chocolate chip cookies or brownies if they're offered <g>!  Food of the gods--plenty of carbs!

Honestly, I tend to pig out the night before on the carbs and then hammer protein in the morning via steak and eggs.

Fruit and some cold roast beef if I've planned ahead enough all day and drink tons of water. Then eat big after. I can't throw if my gut feels loaded.
