Many thanks to the Volunteers and Athletes that have made the Capital District Scottish Games a success for 41 years. It wasn't until 2000, that CDSG entertained Amateur Athletes and shortly thereafter Women and then Lightweight and Senior Master Events.

We have cultivated many great athletes that started here as Amateurs and are now Pros and/or Masters! I have run the games as an invitational since taking over from longtime AD Ted Dandrow. I started out shagging weights for Ted back in the early 90's, in 2000, I started the 2nd day of events with the Amateur Men.

As many AD's know there are many challenges to running successful games, and to that end I Thank the Capital District Scottish Games Board for allowing me the freedom to try and improve the Games. Thank you again to my many Volunteers! Thank you Athletes for you professional demeanor when competing and providing great showmanship for our spectators and patrons.

This year, a long time competitor Terri James set a World Record in the Master Women's Class with the 21# WOB at 17' 0" and has since broken that record. I remember back in the day having Bill Bailey here and also setting a World Record! Thank you for the Excitement that comes with Athletic Competition at the Scottish Games.

Our Numbers are posted in the Database!
