It was a wonderful day to Throw in St. Louie! There were seven classes of athletes including a Pro class. Good food, not enough porta-potties, and a great way to end the season for most of us midlle of the country folks.
Sean Betz was amazing as he crushed the world record in WOB, 19'5'' I believe. He is a great athlete and a credit to the sport.

Nathan Burchett broke a world record for the lightweight class with 16' 6'' in the WOB. He and his brother fought it out for first and second all day.

The masters class was great, I got to compete with many friends and made some new ones. (I finally beat Rick Kramer, too).

The Chiropracter guys and girls were working on the athletes all day and they were welomed, and free! Thanks to Logan Chiro.

Scott Runnels and all the others who judged and kept our scores and kept us going all day, deserve a great big "Thank You" from everyone.

    See you there next year!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I probably broke some kind of world record also. I had six of my eight kids competing there with me. One dancer and five others competing on the athletics field. Well, I think it's a record anyway...

Yeah, those are all my kids. Same wife. Yes, there are eight.

I agree! Kudos to Mr. Runnels and the rest of the crew for an excellent event. Thanks to all of the judges, and, of course, the sponsors for making it happen.

For those of you interested in the Scottish Culture side of our sport, the Friday night events are also really cool.

It was a great day for throwing.  A little wet in the morning but not to bad.  I was disapointed at first when I missed Sean's first world record at 19'1 or 19'2 but did make over to see hes AWESOME throw of 19'5.  Congrats Sean!!!   The St. Louis boys put on a great game.  Can't wait til next season to throw again and see everyone.
