If any of you are looking for an awesome get back into shape workout or just something different, try this:

hang or power clean to a front squat to a push press (3 x 10)

It is tough as hell considering we are just getting back into the weight room and it gets the heart going.  I like it also b/c it practices the motions of three lifts that you probably will be doing soon.  I don't go more than 135lbs during this lift.

Another great lift to get in shape or develop balance is squats in a snatch position.  Tough on the shoulders but great on the mid section.

I like to do something dwood showed me called the "BEAR". You do a
clean...press it...bring it down to your shoulders....squat it....press it
again....bring it to the floor....start all over again for 5 sets of 5. Ive been
getting it done with 135....OUCH....but really gets the heart racing.

HB3:

HOLY SH*T!  That is a hard exercise.  I did them this morning, starting with a weight that "seemed" to light.  I worked up to 135 for one set of 10.  All I know is that I didn't want to squat afterwards.

Check out the Werner Gunthor training video...I saw this exercise for the first time on there...he was using like 50 kilos( the guy was out of this world strong...so that might tell you what type of weight to use.)

Of course HB3 is perfect and shits gold so he can use 135 if he wants...."go mr. bailey"  "we love you mr. bailey"  "we worship you mr. bailey"   When do I get fans!?

Haven't done em in a while, but used to do multi position cleans (i'm not sure who this came from, probably coach mac) pull from the floor, middle of your shins, knees, above knees (regular hang position), middle of your thighs then go back down (repeat the top pull) for a set of ten...those are mighty fun, and they get the heart pumping pretty good too...

I've been doing overhead squats lately (snatch grip)... I've finally worked my way up to 95lbs... those be tough!

I hear pro Valenti statements all the time!  People love me damnit!

Jason if you retired from throwing doesnt that mean you should retire from posting?  How can we get the depression of not seeing your pathetic attempts to throw ,yet we have the displeasure of still hearing your stupid posts on this board.
