There must be some drills that are basic and fundamental to the different throws. Then there would be more advanced drills that build on that base, once you have that part of your technique honed. So does anyone have a hierarchy of how to progress from basic to more advanced drills for the different events?

My thought is that drills are drills and there are no real level to drills. Drills work the fundamentals of the event and usually break down / dissect the movement so technique can be focused on. An athlete may put two or more drills together to make links between them but this would reflect the full motion of the event. This may complicate the drill but is done all in the name of fundamentals. Drills are designed to focus on technique with in the event or to create concepts into physical feelings. Drills need to have a purpose followed by the full motion of the event to see if there is improvement.
