I know it is relatively common for ex track and field throwers to transition to Highland games.  Was curious about doing the reverse.  Competed in my first Track & Field meet this weekend (shot, discus, hammer, heavyweight and superweight).  Really enjoyed it and felt very welcomed by the track guys. I am discovering that throwing whatever is a lot of fun.  Anybody (esp. Masters guys) doing both and if so how do you manage the training and competitions (e.g. mix it up throughout the season versus focus on one early and then transition to the other later).  It seem the weight training should be about the same for both in general.

Thanks

Shawn Baker
