Al Stagner told me he was gonna register, when we talked at the Worlds.  He better get on it, though, last I checked there was only one spot left in the Masters.... and Brett Milton hadn't registered, yet.

Well, Al has several things going for him.
  1. Last year, he won an invitation to return.
  B. His marks will be good enuf' to make the cut anyway.
III. He has 'til June 20th to apply.
  d. There are only 3 applications for the 50+ class, 4 when Brett Milton decides to apply.

lt drives me nuts (and makes more work for me) when folks wait 'til the bitter end to apply but that's what happens when there's a cut-off that's a long way off.  BUT - that date is only 2 weeks away now!

Wally, I really like how you outlined your points up there.  The first one with with a regular number. The second one with an upper case letter. The third one with a Roman numeral and the last one with a lower case letter!

Advice.... anybody have any thoughts on my giving up my spot in the Amateur A class and taking a spot in the Masters? I earned the invite but dont want to keep someone out that will be more competitive...

My advice:

SHUT YOUR FACE!  Come throw in the A's and improve Hoss.  The corner is in sight...you're going to turn in soon.

Far be it for me to tell you what to do, but the A class would be better for having you in it.
The truth is, you're the weak, and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard...

I agree with Duncan as well. It shows the kind of stand up guy that you are willing to give up your spot for another person. The comraderie of the sport is great but when it comes down to it I think its about you becoming the best thrower you can be. You will come out of the weekend a better thrower having thrown in the A class than allowing someone else to have your spot. You earned it, keep it!!!

There are many things that Jay does well but I don't think shutting his face is one of them.  LOL

Wally, looks like the Ladies A class is throwing on Saturday.  Womens Elite Sat and Sun?

Will the Womens A  be in the same group as the Womens Elite or will they be separate flights?

I'm thinking about the trophy, and when I need to get there. I might have to change my flight.

Question for Wally.
After the B'ham games I have some less mediocre scores, should I email those to you? Not wanting to get bumped out if at all possible.

Oh, yes.

They will.
Quote I'm thinking about the trophy, and when I need to get there.
The trophy will be presented by you on SundayYou need only show up for your class.
Quote I might have to change my flight.
That sounds like a personal problem between you and your ticket agent.

OK, but...ummm....

1.  If I'm not there, then someone else has to make sure to ask the combined Womens Elite and Women A  class to vote on their choice to win the trophy on Saturday.....because the Womens A class won't be on the field on  Sunday.

What if the person who wins the vote is a Womens A class athlete?  She won't be there on Sunday.

OR

2.  The award only applies to the  Womens Elite class (which would be less than optimal, but OK if you have to do it that way), because the A class ladies won't be there to participate on Sunday, when I'm there.

l thought we'd have the As vote on Saturday and the Elites and Masters vote on Sunday.

Quote What if the person who wins the vote is a Womens A class athlete?  She won't be there on Sunday.
We would have someone accept it on her behalf.  Wonderful person that you are, you'll mail the winner her champagne flute!

l think that it should be kept open to all so Plan 1. is much better!

Your choice.

Question  WHERE ARE THEY NOW Question

Last year's Nor Am Champion, DANlEL McKlM, 2-time Nor Am Champ, KERRY OVERFELT, and many-time Nor Am Caber Champ, MlKE ZOLKlEWlCZ, just to mention a few.  The Nor Am won't be the same without them and a whole bunch of other great athletes such as Harrison, Eric, Mark (and the list goes on)!!
