Anybody ever conduct any research (official or back-of-the-envelope) on the effect of different tine widths on the performance of a given fork? In other words, setting aside the 2 vs. 3 tine debate, does it make any difference whether the tines are closer together or farther apart? Michael Cooley |

More important is the stiffness of the tines. A pirtchfork that's
been used for a number of years and has more spring in it will pitch
higher and is easier on your wrists and shoulders.
