I have been stuck in the high 40's for the last several months in the 28 wfd. 45' is consistant with 47' throws every once in a while. I will video myself this weekend and analyse from that end but am looking for input from other guys who have had a sticking put in the 28 and have been able to get through it. Thanks for your help.

I would like to hear some input on this as well, I am stuck in the same range.  I have broken 50' a few times in practice, but 48' is the best I have put up in a competition.

I had a similar issue. All season long I was stuck at 48-50 feet. Other veteran throws were telling me “you should be hitting 60+”. Finally someone told to turn my shoulders back further to the back of the trig when I begin my cast into spin. So I tried this when I got home and it immediately started to hit between 55 – 60. I think it starts the spin earlier maybe? I actually am moving slower since I changed but if the weights are moving further who cares.

Of course this may not be the issue you guys are having; it’s hard to say without video.

Do you mean turn your shoulders further towards the back of the box?

G-man, do you think this is making a larger circle with the weight as well ? I will try this tonight.

Yes before I was standing with my shoulder parallel to the trig facing the trig. Now I “look” back over my right shoulder, turn my shoulders and start the weight in a nice arch. I may not be explaining it correctly but you can see some of the pros doing it.

 

Beaux – it may be a larger circle sounds logical. Also make sure you use your other arm to pull in the final pull. I’m still trying to get the looong pull at the end but I run out of space when I get aggressive and hit the trig
