As you can see I'm a complete newbie. I've posted on the general site for help getting involved already and thought I'd post here for training help. I've been lifting weights consistently since high school and have been looking into highland games recently. I lift fairly heavy and also do heavy manual work(sawmilling, construction, firewood) so my body is used to some forms of moving weight. I think training for these games would give me a goal to work for other than going for new max lifts.I can use info on training videos, techniques, equipment, and basically everything. Right now I'm living in my camp on the edge of an old gravel pit (while building my house) so have access to millions of large stones as well as any size log(caber). Looking forward to hearing from you guys/gals. I think I may enjoy this.
