hey everyone, just recently got into the games. names Kyle, im 26, 6' 280 lbs. ive been lifting for 3 years (+2 years prior of doing worthless machines etc) trying to get bigger and stronger. i have not competed yet, but im hoping to do my first this year. nice to meet everyone. training, currently monday: back squat, 135x10 225x5 315x5 385x3x3x3 415x2. Pull downs 240x5x5 260x5x5 leg asst. wed: push press, 135x10, 185x5, 225x5 265x3x3x3 275x2. Highpulls 225x5 315x5 365x3x3x3. triceps/back friday: one arm snatch, 90x5, 95x5, 100x3 110x3 120x1 Boxsquat 245x2x2x2x2x2. BB rows 135x10 225x10 275x5 315x5 335x5x5 thats my basic weight training as of now. im recovering from SC joint strain, which really sucks, so i have not deadlifted in a bit, i ended at 500x1. im do event practicing every other week. i just started so i hope to get better

Welcome to the training logs and the board. The only way to learn throwing is to throw. Get a game on your radar and use it as your goal to drive towards. Compete even if you feel you aren't quite ready. You will get help (if you're open to it) and see other thrower's techniques.

thanks for the advice. theres two games here in CT coming up so im gonna go for those. i practiced throwing this weekend, just need to get used to it. tonight will be Squats, pulls, back. hopefully i can find someone around my parts to train with.

friday 6/4: push press. hurt my shoulder at work, only worked up to 245 for triples. 19" box squats. singles up to 500, bar postion hurt shoulder. core/grip today 6/7. shoulder is already better luckly. squat-triples snatch pulls-doubles bench-5's rows will be practicing throwing sat. still trying to get into the groove. |
