I throw in some heavy days when recovery starts to slow.   works for me, but I also like to go 50% two days after a heavy leg day just to kill the leg pain.

I don't know which is more disheartening, barely lifting two days a week or neither of those days including deadlift.

I think I forgot how to do them. Pretty sure you're legs are straight and your back is curved like a C. Sound right? Don't forget the jerking off the floor. Arms bent.

You are missing one important part of the dead lift.  While your technique sounds about right I have heard from some guy at the gym that if you twist on the way up as well in really gets your back swole.
Alright, let's do this.
