snatches at 155, 5 working on getting fast under the bar.
went to 165 for 5 more and missed my first 3
swore a bunch
front squat singles 315 for 5

not feeling horrible, but the weekend max out takes a little longer to recover from i suppose

squat doubles, four sets with 405, fifth set I went for it and got 5 reps.

that about did me in.
good effort though, feeling healthy for a big PR in about 10 days.

front squats, worked up to 375 for a single, 12lb PR
snatch doubles at 135, 8 sets, feeling the groove a but more every session, ability to pull under the bar is slowly progressing

more snatch work
legs were weak today though, like shaky and weird.
was a lot of booze this weekend though.
up to 175 for doubles, all deep in the hole, a few felt like winners.
i'm almost as strong as the IWF womens 56k now.

the boys and I put on a little thing called Squatsgiving today.
We all worked up to PR's and had a blast, followed u some potato pancakes.

my man Nick worked up to 400, then 410. So he's in man territory now.

Brendan, same dude I got out throwing this year hit 220/485.

Me, I crushed 190, 200 and 210/462 for an all time PR.
The 462 went up way fast, but wasn't able to recreate that effort again at 485.

Was a great day.

snatch grip thruster to overhead squat 145x1x5
then worked up to snatch PR of 205. I've never been so disappointed or upsey with a PR. I wish I could catch.

snatch balance 145x1x5
snatch and sit in the hole 145x1x8
clean and jerks up to 275, went for 295, got the clean....press out on the jerk. Really hoping this will go down on my second attempt at that meet, then I can get a rip at 140/308 on my third.
either way, 275 is feeling pretty comfy these days, still heavy....but I'm moving it and then around it better.

Yesterday was snatch balance doubles up to 165.
Then 8 full snatches at 165 with time in the hole. Hit most of them.
Up to 385 squat.
Clean pulls with 265.

10 singles with sitting in the hole at 145
squatted 405 for 3 singles
clean pull doubles with 225 for 3

nothing amazing here, but the bar felt like it was in the grove pretty well. training for feeling as opposed to numbers is some craziness.

Deadlift worked up to 485, then missed 505. :(
Jerks from the front up to 295, which I'm pretty sure is a PR. Missed 305

good session though, felt strong.

snatches 135 for 5 singles, all with a hold, tried a different catch position, felt better
then 185 for 5 singles at power, wasnt feeling too heavy, even after yesterdays DL's

squat up to 405 for a single

clean and jerks 205, 225, 255, 275, 295 (PR) Went for 140/308 like a FFFFFing man...and missed the clean. All good, getting there.

Jan 10th, it's closing it on me, I want to do really well so this last few weeks I'm making some changes.
I realize my numbers and proficiency with catching the snatch are still pretty horrible, so I'm going to make sure I get lots of pulls in to make sure I can catch something decent in a power position.
Clean and Jerk is exactly opposite, super comfy and confident there. Looking for a PR at the meet.

12.23 was awful training. So bad I packed it up and went home early.

Today I overhead squatted 135x3x3
Then these old school CrossFit guys were all like "do this little squat workout thing".
225x1, 2, 3 etc EMOM until 10 reps, adding a rep every minute.
So that's like 55 reps or something in under 10 minutes.
Eff those guys are their giant gas tanks. Watts were high, revved up for some more tomorrow and Sunday.

Up to 195 super clean, warm ups felt great, everything felt light. Then failed at 205 and lost steam.

Clean and Jerks were poor. Up to 265, then didn't even attempt anymore.

The problem here is the body's natural reaction to prolonged exposure to cold weather. I essentially worked outside all day today, wasn't too cold, but I'm just not used to being on my feet for 8 hours around 25-30 degrees. Body burns up energy to stay warm and then my lifts suck.

It's happened before and will again.
