Pull ups: Sets of 5 in between most sets of bench. 10 sets total.

12-6-11  Snacks and Rehab type stuff.

Snack buffet: Beef Jerky and Caramel Bugles have become a staple of snack time.  Also present tonight were swirly gummy bears, sourpatch kids, and some kind of jolly rancher gummy deal that kinda tasted like soap... but not in a bad way. ***Happy with tonights spread. May have gone a bit heavy on the gummy candy... most of tonights work out was done by my pancreas.

Lift stuff: Everybody just worked on thier various aches and pains. Stretching, light reps and all that jazz.  I did light deads 5x10 @ 155

Finished up with MarioKarting x 1.5hrs

It had been so long since I'd played this, all I could figure out how to do was run back and forth firing wildly... but thats pretty much my M.O. anyhow.

12-11-11 Lifts: Hang Clean & Front Squat

Hangs: 155x5, 205x5, 245x5, 275x5, 295x5, 315x5, 335x4 ***Felt nice... sticking with 5's for a bit to do whatever the hell that might do for me. Wanted 335x5 but got silly on my 3rd catch and killed my groove, regrouped to get my 4th but then I was shot.

Fronts: 245x5, 245x5, 295x3, 315x2 *** These are really stretching out my hips which is nice.  Workout really fizzled near the end, most likely from all the Cleans... plus video games aren't gonna play themselves.  Next week I'll back the cleans down a bit so I can devote more energy to squats, boom.

Ignoring tha last comment and moving right along....

12-13-11 Lifting: Bench & Pull ups

Bench: 225x10, 275x5, 295x5, 315x5, 365x5, 405x1, 405xsquirm,wiggle,shit,backdown 315x8, 225x20 ***I think its time for some structure to this day. We have 3 guys working at 3 very different levels for this lift so its been working as follows: Andy warms up and gets into his working sets; Wade and I use them for warm ups. Then I get into my working sets and Wade continues to use them as warm ups. Then Wade finally gets his workout in.  Todays top lifts went Andy: 305 (pretty good for a guy in what I can only assume was an Extra Small T-shirt) Me: 405 (meh) Wade: 515 (Another PR Bitches!)

Pull ups: The usual 5s in between sets of bench: 9 sets total.

Mario Kart: Battle Mode... intesity to the max.  The score tied at 1-1-1, the stakes had never been higher. Andy goes out right away in embarassing fashion but was determined to be a disruption, zipping around like a dipshit as the little bomb guy. Meanwhile, I employed an ingenious stratigy: drive around until Wade kills himself with green turtle shells. For the win, cuz I'm smaaaat. Game, set, match, your bench can't save ya now, you sonofabitch!

12-15-11  Light Lifts, Moderate Snacks, Heavy Video Games.

Back Squat: 245x5x6 Blood flow, fo sho.  Shaking loose the tightness in my hips.

Snacks: Salty day. Beef Jerky & Snyders Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chunks.

Video Games: Started with some 007 (Blue cartrige... maybe The world is not enough?)  Then, after much bitching, moved on to Mario Kart.  Quickly decended into madness... played Koopa Troopa Beach at least 12 games in a row with varying results... usually one sided races due to the short cut.  There was much use of the F-word, both B-words, and the Sh-word.

12/18/11 Lifting: Hang Clean & Back Squat
Warm up: MarioKart and Cardboard roller... the Koopa Troopa Beach bullshit continues. After winning the 1st couple races I just got worked for the next 4... Cheat codes, gotta be cheat codes.

Rage Fueled Lifts...
Cleans: 155x5, 205x5, 225x5, 245x5, 295x5 ***Snappy and rhythmic wanted to keep going but promised myself I would actually do a meaningful squat workout so I moved on.

Squats: 245x5, 245x5, 315x5, 405x5, 425x5, 425x3 (Racked the bar after my last set and immediately remembered it was supposed to be a 5 set, nearly took it back off and finished the set... nearly) Squats good.

Cooled down with more MarioKart... In the future we may have to upgrade to Gamecube to expand the MarioKart horizons.  For a more immediate fix; due to this weekend's casino win and some questionable e-bay related judgement we have some new N64 games on the way.

12-19-11    Morning Throws: HWFD, LWFD & LH  ***Temp of 32 for the perfect mix of frozen ground with wet grass.

Heavy: Warmed up with 1 turns. 4x Each hand Best of 38' (R) and 29' (L) Then 3 Fulls: 43', 43', 45' *** Feel nice and easy with lots of stretch

Light: 1 turns 2x each hand Best of 71' (R) and 57 (L) Then 5 Fulls: 76', 79', 76', 79', 81' *** Had some trouble feeling the weight, but remembered that the speed needs to be in the implement not my body. On my 76' throws I felt like a meth powered tornado, the others were long and relaxed... much better.

L. Hammer: Took a few winds to get warmed up.  2 winds in cleats: 109', 105, 108, 112 *** These felt pretty blah.  Frozen ground was not the best footing and couldn't get much of a grip on the hammer but either way it wasn't moving fast and I felt stiff.  This is an event for me that comes and goes and is probably going to be the toughest to train over the winter, given the conditions in WI.

12-19-11  Lifting: Bench and Purple Band Rows

Bench: Felt cashed from throwing this morning and a questionable sleep schedule so I just went with whatever weight Andy had on the bar x 10 so... 185x10, 225x10, 255x10, 290x10, 290x10, 315x8 (Last set felt great off my chest but my tri-guns were shot by that point)

Purple Band Rows: Sets of 10 in between most sets of bench. 4 sets total.

MarioKart: Mix of Battle and Races w/ push-ups for losers. 10 for 2nd place and 20 for 3rd.  It is about damn time those new games got here... I knew I should've gone with the rush shipping.

We all went as McPoyels one year for Halloween... You roll up 8 deep to a party of 40 people like this things get weird.  We spent the majority of the night in the guys living room having a creepy dance off among ourselves.  Other people were weirded out.

12-28-11   Throws: HWFD & LWFD

HWFD: 1 Turns warm up 3xeach hand. Best of 38'R and 30'L
Fulls: 41', 44', 44', 45'*** Feels good. The more I can relax the better it goes.

LWFD: 1 turn warm up 1xeach hand. 70'R and 58'R
Fulls: 76', 78', 77', 80', 79'  *** Having trouble balancing speed and stretch. Blah, it's cold and the weight is light.  I prefer the extra feed back from the 56.

I've been feeling the same way about the 28 lately. I feel I can handle the 56 better, the 28 just gets too damn fast. I find myself jumping over the trig half the time.

I'm not a super technical thrower so I rely a lot on the feed back of the weight. I've definitely gotta pay more attention to what the hell I'm doing when I throw it or it just gets spazzy.

12-28-11       Lifting: Hang Clean & Squat

Hang Clean: 155x5, 205x5, 245x5, 285x5, 315x5, 365x1, 385x.9x2 *** And now that bar looks like Willow's squiggly wizard stick.  Really boned me on the bigger lifts.

Squat: 245x5, 335x5, 405x5 *** wow when I write it down, I see that I didn't really do much.

NEW VIDEO GAMES: Started out the night with some Rampage Universal Tour... I rocked the Lobster monster but the Rhino seems to be the way to go.  We said screw it to that one pretty early and got on to Smashing some Bros.  Kirby was a crowd favorite and according to Wade, Samus is a cheatin' bitch.  We still have WCW/NWO Revenge on the shelf... two words BATTLE ROYAL!!!!
