I too, have been carrying sandbags from time to time! It's fun in a horrible sort of way.

I have started to enjoy carrying stuff, it mostly sucks. My ab is feeling better and all the bruising is gone. There are a few things that still give me a bit of discomfort but pooping is not one of them so I'm cool.

I have been using the SSB for squats and it feels way harder with less weight but helps my shoulders and back so much more.
