Worked a little LWFD tonight. Figured out that my weight actually weighs in at 33lbs, not 28. SO, i dropped a 5lb plate, = 28lbs, go figure.

with 33lbs- average 42'
with 28lbs- average 49'

I was wondering why I threw 51' at NTKG and then threw42' tonight, ha

Well, to get ready for my world domination, I maxed on bench and squat. Not suprised on the bench considering that I haven't bench in the last 3 years except a few times in the last 6 months.

-Bench-
1x8xbar
1x3x135lbs
1x1x185lbs
1x1x205lbs <------1RM
-Back Squat-
1x8xbar
1x3x135lbs
1x2x185lbs
1x2x225lbs
1x1x245lbs
1x1x265lbs
1x1x275lbs<-------1RM

I was suprised on the squat, I might have been able to get 285, but decided that was enough.

I am gonna use my old max for front squat-245lbs for my workset % for that exersice.
I am also gonna use my old clean max-185 for workset %, and then 185 for push press as well.
Will hit gym tomorrow or sunday and max on deads and snatch.

Here is the video I promised, feel free to comment, I am sure there is something I need to work on, but maybe someone sees something I don't.

Gym this afternoon to find 1RM for deads and snatch.

-Deadlift-
1x8xbar
1x3x135lbs
1x2x225lbs
1x1x315lbs
1x1x345lbs<-----1RM and PR
-Snatch-

1x8xbar
1x1x115lbs
1x1x125lbs<---1RM and PR

I missed 135 on snatch twice. I know I need to work my form and possibly catching the weight lower in a squat position, but i'm workin on it. Here's the video

Went to the used sports store today and picked up a 16lb shot. Gonna practice with it a few times. Figured I would try my hand at the Sooner State Games this summer. Need to know what it feels like to throw a shot. I must say, it is tougher on the wrist imo.

5 no reverse
5 w/reverse

Decided to wipe clean the last two weeks and start over, for 2 reasons.

1. Didn't even finish the first week and didn't get to start the second weekbecause of the stupid flu. Already behind the power curve.
2. If I start fresh next week with 3.1 week 1, that puts me at my peak in the middle of OCT. If NTH are gonna hold LW's, then that would be perfect for me go and show these 190's what this rookie can do, hahah.

that's all for now.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

So frustrated today. Rainy as ever, so no stones or HWFD. So I took it as a sign to work on LH.
I don't know what it is. I put everything I had into the final throws and still only ended up hittin 76'7". Everything else seems to be in check and moving right along. I guess I can't complain, that's not bad for a new guy, right? I keep comparing myself to other people and I told myself I was not going to do that. Just gettin' into that competitive spirit I suppose.

Post some video over in throwing forum. The gang can be really helpful if they have video.

If it helps to be competitive, you can benchmark using my log. I have no throwing background, started about the same time you did, and our numbers are comparable, with me being a smidgen ahead in some events - which should make me a good rabbit to chase for a while. And I bet we have similar questions based on our progression.

Can't say whether whether we're doing well or not, but we'really doing it.

If you have the option, get one with slomo replay.   It's HIGHLY enlightening (or disturbing), depending upon your perspective, to watch replays on the field and see your suckiness unfold slow enough to see it yourself.
