So good day for deads, not so much for push press. I attribute my not lifting well to the fact that yesterday i was sick all day my abs and lower back were already sore from yaking all day,

I'm back!!!
 
 Been resting for a couple months now, injured my back moving on june 1st. Been in the gym for about 2 weeks now, just getting the feel for things. I think it's gonna hurt me for Tulsa, but I should at least be where i left off. Anywho, good to be back in the gym and gonna start throwing next week. I start Block 8 on aug 13th. Everything feels great now.

Tulsa Scotfest
 
Braemar- Big ole 25-26 pound stone, oblong and weird, first two throws were okay but got ahold of the last on for 26'10". not bad for me considering.
 
Ostone- This stone was shaped like a triangle and just hard to handle. Dropped my elbow on the first throw, hit 35'5" on a conservative second throw, fouled a bomb on my third, and the fouls will continue.
 
HWFD- Fouled my first and second attempt, threw scared third for 29', a llittle angry.
 
LWFD- Troubles continue, just couldn't get anything going, fouled once, ended up with 48'11", meh.
 
HH- Finally started to turn things around after a shouting match with myself during lunch. First throw out 68'10", 9 foot PR. last two were about the same.
 
LH- Wished it could have carried over, but still hit a PR by a foot. 84'3".
 
Caber- Got edged out by Trent, but still hit an 11:30, improvement, PR.
 
WOB- Feeling really good going into this, wanted 14', had 15' but accuracy was an issue, ended up with battle clearing 13' 6" for the win. PR
 
Sheaf- This was the best event I had all day long. Smoked my last best by 3 feet. ended with 25', went for 26' but hit the bottom of the bar. My arm was hurting at this point and since I already had the win, i stopped.
 
Overall- Thanks Matt for an awesome time and loved it. I hit everything I was expecting to and more. Still need to work on weights and hammers. This is probably going to be my last Lightweight games. I am going to start throwing in the b's next year and hopefully a's.

Celtober was my first B game, actually my first none lightweight game, that 56 sucks.


Braemar- F, 30' 1/2", 30' 1/2"
Ostone- 34', 38' 8", 36'
HWFD- 24', 21', 22'
LWFD- 48', 49', 45'
HH- 65', 69', 71'
LH- 88, 89, 85
WOB- 11'
Caber- 75

Had real fun, hit 6 PR's and almost f*ed my knee up, but it's okay, just a little sore.

A little over two years since my last post.............i got nothin 
 
Been away for a while.......but i'm back. I have this obsession with putting anywhere from 5 to 20 periods between thoughts..........it's getting quite annoying.
 
Anyway, i have been lifting and throwing for about 6 weeks now and thought i would restart this log.
Not much has changed since last, I feel i've lost a lot of strength but my muscle memory from throwing is right back on track, so much i haven't really lost any distance.
 
For Example......... i have lost about 20% strength on all lifts......weak
 
Throws are right at or even better after 6 weeks...
 
Braemar is about the same  27-29'
Ostone is consistantly 37-38' and a wopping 39'+
HWFD is same 31-34'
LWFD is same 49-52'
HH is a little less 65-68'
LH is better at 85-90
Caber......meh
Sheaf.......meh
WOB........meh
 
so thats where i'm at now

Had my MRI done yesterday, so I am waiting for the doc to call me back. He seems to think it a a micro tear in the quad tenndon. We will see, either way it's annoying cause i love squats and i can't freaking do em, or deads or anything that requires me to bend my legs more than a quarter..........sucks.

MRI revealed that nothing is wrong......go figure, so a strained tendon and patellar chondromalcia is what i'm dealing with. Ice and stretching is working well. Haven't really put it under any pressure.
so, knee felt good, taking it slow and steady, warming up the joints alot is helping.

Yes the beard is growing is size and legend......the wife is doing good, regular check ups reveal no new problems as of yet.......thank you for asking......and i appreciate all you have done for me and mine.

An improvement on both exercises, we didn't have smaller weights that's why i jumped up to 275 instead of 255 or 265, i go 245 pretty easy, i think i could have hit 255 or 265............275 got stuck half way up so i am excited about that. I think i could have pushed out 2 more reps on squat, just didn't have a safety bar so i think it was a mental thing.
