Thanks fellas!

Bellingham

breamar 40+ 1st
Open 50+ 2nd
HWD 37+ 4th
LWD 74? 5th
LH 115 4th
Sheaf 31'6" PR 3rd
WOB 16'
Caber 12:05, 12:05, 12:00 3rd

Stones were good. Wanted more tho.

Weights were D handles and I struggled. I'll be sure to get some pracky with them next time I know I have to throw them.

Hammer was meh, but it's not a great hammer game traditionally. Still need to be better.

Sheaf was fun. Was really the event of the day at this game.

WOB showed last week wasn't a fluke. Had a couple close pulls at 17'. Just no go over.

Caber was easy. The challenge caber had a $500 bounty. I ran as fast as I could and probably was around 80deg on my best pull. I'll get that sucka next year.

Came in third overall.

Big Daddy and Hoss know how to run a game, and treated all of us like kings. It was awesome, and I'll be back!

Georgetown next weekend.

Alma Highland Games

20lb Open Stone 44+ PR for this terrible stone
HWD 40'10"
HH 96'10"
WOB 17' PR
LWD 82'7" PR (KO pretty much coached me to this PR)
Caber 19' 125ish? 11:00, 3:00, NT
25lb Sheaf 26' PR

Took the win with some good throws and some luck. All the guys were awesome all day with support and tips along the way. Had a blast.

So, really good day for me, after a pretty miserable start to my off season injury wise. Then two shit comps to end my amateur career. Honestly, the program Squatch put me on is what got me these results. Reaching out to him was best decision I made all offseason. That and a little extra practice. Its the first time I've changed my training in 4 years.

Now to Bellingham, Georgetown, And Chicago the next three weekends.

Cool wanted to see it but after the gym rushed down to ICU( my son is in a fight!). Funny story to take my mind off Ryan..wake the misses up w/a kiss and some day chocolates..figure take her to the gym to take her mind off Ryan and relieve some stress...shoulder press day she smokes 125x5( not a PR but best in a few months) I hit 185x5/215 x3/230 is loaded for a 6 yr PR..get under the bar..Miss damn..get under ..MISS..repeat 3 more times..well figure my hat is facing the wrong way(was backwards) so crank it sideways ALA Nathan Parker take 230 out of the rack/ dig heels in/ and guess what? Weight doesn't move! I'm stapled. Haha guess the hat twist only works for you

If Ryan told you to use minis on DE squats, then by all means stick with them, as they may be part of his master plan.

But otherwise, generally speaking, minis are not nearly enough band tension for someone who squats as much as you.  Unless you are doubling them.  IMO, it'd make more sense choking a light or average band.

Otherwise, I like it!  Nice work in here.

First -- skrong work

Second -- the version of strep going around is clocking about five days of fever even with antibiotics.  Both my boys had it in sequence.  It's nasty this year, so good luck.
